Let’s Talk About TubeBuddy

What is TubeBuddy?

TubeBuddy is a go-to tool that is convenient for your YouTube channel. If you are familiar with SocialBlade and VidIQ, then you will not have a hard time understanding how to use TubeBuddy. This tool will help you with bulk processing, responses, keyword searches, quick edit, upload checklist, and recently I have seen it add the COPPA scan. This will scan your videos to give you an idea if your video is COPPA compliant.

Along with the tools I listed, there is a TubeBuddy community that helps you grow as a YouTuber. This community comes with the membership package. It’s a forum but there are some posting guidelines. You can request other members to check out your videos and give you feedback. It’s a good way to build a community. I believe the only thing that’s frowned upon is when you do countless promotions on your channel. What I meant is, when you are posting your video but there is no substance besides asking for subscribers or views. Your post will get denied.

So if that is all you are joining this community for, then this is not the place for you.

TubeBuddy Cost and Pricing

Here are the listed prices per membership. They offer coupons and discounts if you have less than 1,000 subscribers, if you pay yearly, or if you have over 1 channel. The coupon and discounts also includes anyone who is part of a non-profit.

Limitations exist on some memberships. You can do the comparison by visiting here: TubeBuddy Pricing

What’s My Personal Take

I thoroughly enjoy the community on TubeBuddy. There are some very helpful creators who are very knowledgeable. The milestone thread is fun to follow because everyone is so supportive.

I have tried the Legend membership and have downgraded because I did not use most of the comparison tools that are available. This tool allows you to compare your channel with a competitor’s channel and get analytics on both. The Chrome and Firefox extension is very helpful as it gives you access to your dashboard quicker. I love the COPPA and demonetization scan tool. With the demonetization scan tool, it scans the word that you use and it will tell you if it is a bad word. Sometimes we forget that they blacklist certain words.

The other tool that I found useful is the bulk processing where you can change your description for all of your videos at once instead of going through them one by one. The task is daunting.

Overall, if you are just starting, this is a good tool to get you started and if you have a lot of videos uploaded, this will be a miracle growth for you.

Therefore, I would recommend TubeBuddy.

  1. Awesome post! Keep up the great work! 🙂

  2. I used TubeBuddy for a while and it increased my overall traffic. I find the keyword check functions to be the most useful. Even if the suggestions aren’t great, they at least point you in the right direction.

That’s great! TubeBuddy is definitely a great tool. I ran a test between using the Google keyword planner and Google analytics with TubeBuddy and VidIQ.. and yes. It’s more convenient because everything is in one package. I am an old school blogger so I am use to going between different SEO software. Haha.
